ARLINGTON, TX: The American League All-Star team is back in the win column after last year’s loss to the National League. Last night, the AL defeated the NL at Globe Life Field where the Texas Rangers call home.
Although the AL ultimately came out on top, the first few innings told a different story. Dodgers’ superstar Shohei Ohtani gave the NL an early 3-0 lead on a home run off of Red Sox’ Tanner Houck.
That score would hold until Yankees’ Juan Soto got the AL on the board with an RBI double, making it 3-2 NL. Guardians’ David Fry then tied the game for the AL. After that, came the young stud residing in Boston, Jarren Duran.
Duran gave the AL five unanswered runs with a two-run blast, breaking the tie and putting the AL up 5-3. That score would hold as the American League is back in their familiar position. Jarren Duran ended his All-Star performance by taking home the All-Star Game MVP Award.
The 2025 MLB All-Star Game is set to take place at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, home of the Atlanta Braves. It will mark the 95th anniversary of the midsummer classic.
