The MLB Off-Season has been going on for a few weeks. There haven’t been many active teams so far in the free agent market. Although, the Los Angeles Angels have by far had the most successful off-season so far. They’ve made a lot of important additions already.
Here is a look at the additions that the Angels have made:
OF/DH Jorge Soler
C Travis d’Arnuad
SP Kyle Hendricks
UTIL Scott Kingery
INF Ryan Noda
INF Kevin Newman
The Jorge Soler addition by the Angels was via trade. All of the other moves by the Angels have been free-agent signings. It’s good to see a team like the Angels be so active so early in the off-season.
Over the past few years the Angels have lost a lot in free agency. The main player is Shohei Ohtani who signed with the Dodgers last off-season. It’s been a disappointing season year after year for the Angels so now they are trying to make additions that will hopefully pay off.
The Angels have taken advantage of other teams not making moves. Obviously the biggest addition for the Angels is Jorge Soler. He will really add a nice power bat to the middle of the Angels lineup. The rest of the moves are underrated signings that can come up big during the season.
