The Los Angeles Angels and left-handed pitcher Yusei Kikuchi are in agreement on a 3-year, $63 million deal. Multiple people reported this deal, Jon Heyman of the NY Post was on it first. It’s great to see the Angels spending big money.

It’s no secret that the Angels have wasted no time this off-season. They are by far the most active team in free agency. So far this off-season the Angels have spent a total of $100M.

Here are some notable additions by the Angels:

Jorge Soler

Travis d’Arnaud

Kyle Hendricks

Kevin Newman

Yusei Kikuchi

+others

Yusei Kikuchi has always been a reliable pitcher for any team. He spent his 2024 season with the Blue Jays and Astros. He started the season with Toronto and it was a rough time there for him, he posted a 4.75 ERA in 22 games. Although, once he got to Houston he really had a good second half. Kikuchi posted a 2.70 ERA in 10 games.

For many seasons the Angels have been a bottom of the league team. They had Shohei Ohtani for many seasons before he signed with the Dodgers and they still have Mike Trout. The Angels needed to do something this off-season and they certainly have already.
