Baseball’s Two-Way Sensation Takes Home Second MVP Award

Baseball was taken by storm from the Japanese two-way sensation, Shohei Ohtani. Since entering the league 6 years ago, Ohtani has now won the AL MVP Award twice. Both being unanimous. His 2023 season was filled with injuries, that however did not stop him from putting together another impressive season.

In 2023, Ohtani slashed .304/.412/.654 with 44 home runs and 95 RBI. Along with his outstanding offensive performance, his pitching was just as dominant. Finishing with a 10-5 record while posting a 3.14 ERA along with 167 strikeouts, he gave the Angels another chance to stay in the postseason hunt.

However, Ohtani's generational talent was not enough to give the Angels a postseason berth. With Ohtani likely ending his career in Los Angeles (AL), the reigning AL MVP will be taking his generational talents to a new city and a new franchise. The next couple of weeks will be record setting for the two-way sensation.
