Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho will undergo surgery to repair a rotator cuff injury in his right shoulder. He will definitely miss the rest of the season as there are just a few more weeks left in the 2024 season. Per, Blue Jays manager John Schneider.
Daulton Varsho’s season will end in an unfortunate way. This is Varsho’s second season as a member of the Blue Jays. Before he came to the Blue Jays, he played for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Blue Jays have a very low chance to make the playoffs at this point in the season. As things stand right now, they sit at last place in a stacked American League East. They are 72-78 and are 7.5 games out of a Wild Card spot.
Daulton Varsho had a pretty solid season. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad. Varsho continues to grow as a player. In 136 games, Varsho is slashing .214/.293/.407, 18 HR, 58 RBI, 10 SB, and a .700 OPS.
Over the next few years Daulton Varsho will continue to get better. He’s just 28-years-old and has locked himself into a starting role as a Blue Jay. It is an unfortunate ending to the 2024 season for Daulton Varsho.
