Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette will undergo surgery to insert a pin into his fractured right middle finger and correct a displacement. The Blue Jays have already been eliminated from the playoffs, so Bichette will definitely be out for the remainder of the season.

The expectation from the Blue Jays is that Bo Bichette will be fully ready for the beginning of the 2025 Spring Training. Manager John Schneider said Bichette’s fracture was a bit ‘displaced’ and this surgery should help the bone set.

There have already been rumors at the trade deadline that Bo Bichette could be on the move. So those conversations could be talked about again after this season, even though Bichette will be healing a surgery. Bo Bichette is a free agent after 2025.

It’s been a pretty disappointing year for Bo Bichette. Although, he’s had stretchers where he was really good. Bichette’s final stats for the year are 81 games, .225/.277/.322, 4 HR, 31 RBI, 5 SB, and a .599 OPS.

Bo Bichette will have an off-season where he’s getting ready for the 2025 and also healing up a surgery to be ready for the season. He definitely should be ready as long as he has no setbacks. Bichette could be primed for a big season next year after his down year this year.
