The Atlanta Braves are finally getting their starting second baseman back. After the Braves 15-3 win over the Reds yesterday, manager Brian Snitker gave great news to the Braves fans. Ozzie Albies has been activated from the 10-day injured list. Albies is a huge addition to the Braves lineup.

The Braves have been without star second baseman for longer then expected. It’s been almost two months since Ozzie Albies last played in a game. He’s dealt with a left wrist fracture. The Braves haven’t created a roster spot as of now for Albies, so they will need to do that.

It’s been reported that Ozzie Albies is still dealing with discomfort when he hits from the left side of the batters box. Albies has been a switch hitter for a long time so it’ll be different hitting from only one side of the plate, at least for the most part.

Ozzie Albies season has been filled with injuries. He hasn’t had a full season at the plate, but he is still producing when healthy. In 90 games, he’s slashing .258/.310/.407, with 8 HR, 46 RBI, and a .717 OPS.

If the season ended today, the Braves would be out of the playoffs. So this is the perfect time to get Ozzie Albies back. The Braves still have a chance at a Wild Card spot. It’ll be a tight finish to see who gets the last spot in the Wild Card for the National League.
