Braves First Baseman Makes Franchise History

The Atlanta Braves record for most home runs in a season has been held by Andruw Jones since 2005. Yesterday, first baseman, Matt Olson hit his 52nd of the season to break that 18 year streak.

Ever since Matt Olson first put on that Brave uniform, he has produced to a high level. Slashing .259/.354/.541 in his two years in Atlanta, along with a .279/.385/.612 in 2023, Olson has been a force for the Braves. His 52 home runs this season is not only impressive, but historic.

Many mocked the Braves for the way they handled the Freddie Freeman situation, however, their replacement in Matt Olson has worked out just as fine. Olson will continue his run for NL MVP for the rest of September.
