Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Abner Uribe underwent season ending knee surgery. He announced on his instagram page. Here is his announcement:

Unfortunately the 2024 season has come to an end for me. Starting tomorrow I will begin the rehab process and will remain as focused and as determined as I've ever been to make sure I am 100% ready for spring training 2025. Thank you to the good lord for watching over me during surgery. Thank you to the fans and the Milwaukee Brewers for always supporting me and my career. Finally, thank you to Dr. ElAttrache who performed the surgery this morning.

Abner Uribe has servered as a relief pitcher this year for the Brewers. He hasn’t had the best of luck. In 14 games, he’s pitched 14.1 IP. Uribe has a 2-2 record, 6.91 ERA, 14 SO, and a 1.88 WHIP.

This is just Uribe’s second season in the MLB. He had a very successful season last year in his rookie year. In 32 games and 30.2 IP, he posted an outstanding 1.76 ERA.

The Brewers will need to find someone to replace Abner Uribe‘s spot. It’ll be interesting to see if they do something at the trade deadline which is on July 30th.
