The Milwaukee Brewers announced on X that first baseman Rhys Hoskins was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring. As a corresponding move, the Brewers recalled INF/OF Owen Miller from Triple-A Nashville. This is awful news for Hoskins and the Brewers as their off-season addition is now injured.
As of right now, the hope is that Rhys Hoskins only misses a few weeks, about 2-4 at most. This is the first season that Rhys Hoskins is in a different uniform other than the Phillies. He is supposed to make his return to Philly on June 3rd, that is now in jeopardy.
Rhys Hoskins missed all of last season due to an ACL tear in Spring Training. He was off to a pretty good start this year.
Rhys Hoskins stats in 2024:
38 starts, 133 at-bats, .233/.340/.474, with 9 HR’s, 27 RBI’s, and a .814 OPS.
There’s no question that the Brewers have been one of the hottest teams in baseball all season. Rhys Hoskins was a big part of that, now they will be without him. The Brewers will have to try to keep up their hot start without Rhys Hoskins for a few weeks.
