The Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement with free-agent outfielder, Teoscar Hernández. The deal is for one-year, worth $23.5 million. Hernández will add yet another potential all-star bat to the Dodgers star lineup. The Dodgers continue to add star power to their ball club with this move.

Of the $23.5 million in Teoscar Hernández's deal with the Dodgers, $8.5 million will be deferred, to be paid out from 2030-2039. Per, Jeff Passan. The deferred money is the exact same thing the Dodgers did with Shohei Ohtani on his 10-year, $700 million deal.

Teoscar Hernández has always been a great bat. His defense is always solid. Teoscar Hernández is a one time all-star in 2021 with the Blue Jays. In 2023, Hernández started in 160 games, he slashed .258/.305/.435, with 26 HR's, 93 RBI's, 38 BB's, and a .741 OPS.

With the Dodgers adding Teoscar Hernández, it adds to their historic off-season. They've already added Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow. The Dodgers have been the most active team, and it continues with the addition of Teoscar Hernández.
