The Chicago White Sox are seemingly going into full rebuild mode. Trading their proven pieces are likely in their future. Perhaps their most proven player comes in the form of Dylan Cease. After making his MLB debut in 2019, Cease has turned into Chicago's ace and came in second place in the 2022 AL Cy Young Award voting.

Reports state that talks have "intensified" over the last few days, per MLB Network's Jon Morosi. The longtime White Sox pitched to a 4.58 ERA in 2023, but is not far off from his dominating 2.20 ERA season just two years ago. Cease has reportedly drawn interest from the Braves, Cardinals, and Dodgers. Though this interest is said to have many more parties involved.

With Cease likely to be traded, he joins a trade market of other top pitchers such as Tyler Glasnow and Shane Bieber. With pitching hard to come by, especially at their caliber, whatever team Cease will join, will instantly become better.

Cease has proven he is ace material. That's exactly the type of player he is. Joining any club, he will easily slide in as their ace or, if lucky enough, a number two. Cease is second in the league in total pitches in the last two seasons with 6,382, just behind Yankees' Gerrit Cole. He's a workhorse and will turn around any team's pitching staff.
