This has been a reoccurring theme throughout pitchers in Major League Baseball. The MLBPA called the pitch clock "an unprecedented threat" as pitching injuries mount.
MLBPA Executive Director, Tony Clark had this to say..
Despite unanimous player opposition and significant concerns regarding health and safety, the commissioner's office reduced the length of the pitch clock last December.
Depending on how this shapes out and if other pitchers start hitting the IL at this alarming rate, Major League Baseball might not have any choice but to investigate.
