Ketel Marte’s Historic Night Drive the D-Backs to a Game Two Victory

The Arizona Diamondbacks went down in heartbreaking fashion in game one of the World Series. However, the postseason motto has been "embrace the chaos", which is exactly what they have done. The D-Backs have not had many "main stays" in their lineup over the years. The one they have had is Ketel Marte. His historic night paved the way for Arizona to tie the series up.

Marte has officially broken the all-time postseason record for the longest hit streak, which is now 18 games. Marte won NLCS MVP and is hungry for more. The D-Backs got 7 strong innings of one run ball out of Merrill Kelly and their offense was just as strong. Tommy Pham's 4-4 night along with Carroll, Marte, Moreno, Longoria, and Gurriel Jr. all contributors, the D-Backs have tied the series up.

The World Series will now shift to the desert as Arizona's Brandon Pfaadt will take on Texas' Max Scherzer in game 3. It will mark the first World Series game played from Chase Field since the 2001 World Series. These snakes will not go down easy, Texas will have to bring everything they have with them to Arizona.
