Marcus Stroman spent his 2023 in the North Side of Chicago, with the Cubs. His free agent market has recently picked up a head of steam. The 32-year old is a 9-year MLB veteran who has spent time with Toronto, New York (NL), and Chicago (NL).
The latest rumblings surrounding Marcus Stroman is the New York Yankees have now emerged as favorites to sign the free agent righty, per Jon Morosi of MLB Network. The Yankees have a strong need for starting pitching and Stroman would fit the bill.
However, the one factor that comes into play is the outspoken Stroman on the Yankees via Twitter. Stroman once tweeted about the Yankee pitching staff back in 2020.

Marcus Stroman was certainly not shy on his thoughts of the Yankees rotation. With recent reports, it appears that the Yankees front office has either moved on from the turmoil, seeing that they have now been named as favorites to sign Stroman.
Stroman has not been a bad pitcher by any stretch. Stroman pitched to a 3.95 ERA over 136.2 innings in 2023 and was named as an all-star.
The Yankees have something in common, a need for one another. However, whenever talks are engaged with a big market team and a free agent, its fan base always wonders how said free agent will perform in their jersey. In this case, it is no different as many Yankee fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure in recent reports.
