This past off-season, the New York Mets signed Japanese star, Kodai Senga. The deal was 5 years worth $75M. The Mets didn't know what they were going to get from Kodai Senga, but he's exceeding all expectations.
Kodai Senga is having an amazing first year in the MLB. Kodai Senga is now second in the National League in ERA. Kodai Senga has made 28 starts, 11-7 record, 161.1 IP, 2.96 ERA, 194 SO, and a 1.22 WHIP.
Kodai Senga is having a Cy Young season, if it wasn't for Blake Snell having a better season, Senga could potentially be the front-runner for the Cy Young. The Mets haven't had many bright spots this season, but Kodai Senga is certainly a bright spot.
