MIAMI, FL: Per Craig Mish of MLB Network, there is “growing belief” that the Marlins will deal outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. amid the 2024 trade deadline. The 26-year old is said to have plenty of suitors on the trade market.

Chisholm is in the midst of his fifth big league season, all with Miami, and has had a up and down career. The infielder turned outfielder has only played over 100 games once in his career, coming in 2021 where he slashed .248/.303/.425 with 18 home runs.

His best season to date was 2022 where he was selected to his first All-Star game. Chisholm slashed .254/.325/.535 with 14 home runs.

Chisholm has never been a big time contact bat but has made up for it within the power department and has made his game a success by implementing both and being a threat on the base paths.

Chisholm is putting together a decent 2024 campaign where he’s batting .255 with 10 home runs through 87 games. With his high upside season, the Marlins very well could be receiving calls regarding the outfielder’s availability. By the end of the deadline, we could see Chisholm in a jersey other than Miami’s.
