Yesterday evening, the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers completed a trade surrounding OF Jake Bauers. Bauers bursted onto the scenes for the Yankees last season as the injuries piled up. He became a quality addition to the Yankees banged up roster. He will now almost certainly find himself getting regular reps with the Brewers.

Bauers slashed .202/.279/.413 with 12 home runs and 30 RBI. His bat provided pop for a Yankees lineup that needed as much help as they could get. His glove in the outfield and versatility gave the Yankees a quality outfielder.

As for the return, the Yankees are receiving two minor league outfielders. The first being Jace Avina, 20. Avina slashed .233/.373/.422 in Class A. The other minor leaguer being Brian Sanchez. Sanchez slashed .297/.414/.446 in the 2023 summer league.

Both clubs are receiving outfielders for the future. The Yankees add to their outfield depth and the Brewers are getting a versatile outfielder who can play everyday.
