The Baltimore Orioles announced that they have signed reliever Felix Bautista to a two-year extension. However, they also announced that Bautista will undergo Tommy John Surgery and is expected to miss the entire 2024 season.
Felix Bautista has emerged as one of the best relievers in baseball and was awarded an all-star selection in 2023. Bautista pitched to a 8-2 record with an outstanding 1.48 ERA, along with 33 saves.
The back end of Baltimore's bullpen has taken a hit without a doubt. Bautista has proven himself to get handed the ball each and every save opportunity. Bautista will rehab and set his eyes on the 2025 season.
