The Philadelphia Phillies and right-handed pitcher, Spencer Turnbull are in agreement on a contract. The deal is said to be a one-year deal worth $2 million. In addition, Turnbull can earn up to $2 million in incentives. It is a MLB contract. According to Jon Heyman of the NY Post.

Spencer Turnbull's 2023 season was filled with injuries. He didn't have a long season. Turnbull pitched in just 7 games, he had a 1-4 record, and posted a 7.26 ERA. It's not that Spencer Turnbull had a bad 2023 season, it's just that he had a lot of injuries to deal with.

The upside on Spencer Turnbull is what the Phillies saw in him. In 2021, Turnbull threw a no-hitter for the Detroit Tigers. Also, Spencer Turnbull is just 31-years old.

For the Phillies, this is a low-risk move. It can turn into a solid signing. As long as Spencer Turnbull can stay healthy for the Phillies, this could be a decent addition to their pitching staff.
