The Philadelphia Phillies placed SP, Ranger Suárez on the 15-day IL with a right hamstring strain. The corresponding move was the Phillies recalled RP Andrew Bellatti from Triple-A. This is a pretty big hit to the Philadelphia Phillies starting rotation.
Ranger Suárez has been a solid pitcher for the Phillies all season long. He's someone who the Phillies can really rely on. In 17 starts for Suárez, he's pitched 97.1 IP, 89 SO, 3.88 ERA, and a 1.43 WHIP.
The Phillies have been planning on going to a 6 man rotation with adding Michael Lorenzen at the trade deadline. Well, those plans will have to go out the window, at least until Ranger Suárez comes back. The Phillies will have to hope for a speedy recovery for Ranger Suárez.
