The Philadelphia Phillies have won the National League East for the first time since 2011. Yesterday after their 6-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs, they clinched the NL East win. They celebrated last night and will now look to get the No. 1 seed in the National League.

It’s been 13 long seasons since the last time the Phillies won the National League East. There’s been some really good seasons in there. Although, there was some really bad seasons in those 13 years. The Phillies have a great team and it’s showed all season long.

Here is a list of the National League East winner since 2011:

2023: Braves

2022: Braves

2021: Braves

2020: Braves

2019: Braves

2018: Braves

2017: Nationals

2016: Nationals

2015: Mets

2014: Nationals

2013: Braves

2012: Nationals

2011: Phillies

The Phillies obviously have way more goals this season. In Spring Training, they set a bunch of goals. One of them was winning the National League East. They’ve reached that goal.

The Phillies have come so close to winning the World Series the past few years. They’ve reached the World Series and the National League Championship series. They fell short both times. The Phillies have an amazing chance to finish the job this year and win the World Series.
