Yesterday Texas Rangers rookie Wyatt Langford completed his first ever cycle. It came in a blowout Rangers win as they won 11-2. In today’s game of baseball it’s so hard to hit for the cycle as there are so many great pitchers. When it does happen, it’s so awesome to see.
The exact order of Wyatt Langford’s cycle went triple, double, single, and a home run. Langford also drove in 4 runs and scored 3 runs. All in all it was a great day and probably his best game of his young career.
With his cycle last night, Wyatt Langford became the first Rangers rookie to hit for the cycle since 1985. That is exactly 39-years-ago. That is a really long time. It also just goes to show you how rare and hard it is for someone to hit for the cycle.
Wyatt Langford continues to grow as a major league hitter. There’s a chance everyone will hear Wyatt Langford’s name at the end of the year when the rookie of the year is announced.
