Red Sox and Their Young Starting Pitcher are Discussing a Contract Extension

The Boston Red Sox and right-handed starting pitcher, Brayan Bello are actively discussing a potential contract extension. Bello himself told Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com. Brayan Bello did not indicate any type of clues of what the contract could look like, although, he did say that a deal could be done before the end of Spring Training.

Brayan Bello, just 24-years-old, is coming off of a breakout season in 2023. Bello is entering just his third season at the MLB level. Brayan Bello turned into a workhorse on the mound last year.

It was pretty exciting to watch Brayan Bello last year. He has some eletric stuff. In 2023, Bello started in 28 games, he posted a 12-11 record, 157.0 IP, 4.24 ERA, 132 SO, and a 1.34 WHIP.

Brayan Bello has shown signs of being an ace. The Boston Red Sox fans may be seeing Brayan Bello in a Red Sox uniform for a long time. A deal could get done at anytime. Spring Training is just beginning, so the two sides will have all spring to get an extension done.
