The Cincinnati Reds have activated right-handed Emilio Pagán from the 60-day injured list. As a corresponding move, the club optioned right-handed pitcher Yosver Zulueta to Triple-A Louisville.

Emilio Pagán inked a two-year, $16 million deal with the Reds this past offseason. This is the first season in his whole career that Pagán has dealt with injuries.

It was mid-June that Emilio Pagán landed on the injured list. He was dealing with a right lat strain. Pagán was transferred to the 60-day IL later that month. Now, he’s fully healthy and is looking to get back on track after being out with injury.

It’s been an up and down season for Emilio Pagán. He’s had injuries mess up his first season in Cincinnati. In a total of 22 games, Pagán has pitched 20.1 IP. He has a 2-3 record, 4.43 ERA, 26 SO, and a 1.38 WHIP.

Last year, Emilio Pagán spent the season with the Minnesota Twins. He proved how good he can be. In 66 games, Pagán pitched 69.1 IP. He posted a 5-2 record, 2.99 ERA, 65 SO, and a 0.95 WHIP.

If the Reds can get Emilio Pagán back and healthy that would be amazing. This could be a huge bolster to the Reds bullpen.
