The Cincinnati Reds are in agreement with free agent relief pitcher, Brent Stuter. The deal is a one-year deal, worth $2.5 million in 2024. Also, there is a $3.5 million club option ($500K buyout) for 2025. According to MLB Insider Robert Murray. Brent Suter has spent eight seasons at the MLB level, he's played with Milwaukee and Colorado.

Brent Suter is a workhorse out of the bullpen. Brent Suter made his major-league debut in 2016 with the Milwaukee Brewers. He's spent most of his career in Milwaukee, all the way up until 2022. Then, as mentioned above, he spent the 2023 season with the Colorado Rockies.

It's never easy for a pitcher to pitch at Coors Field, it's one of the hardest places to pitch. In 57 games pitched in 2023, Suter posted a 4-3 record, 69.1 IP, 55 SO, 3.38 ERA, and a 1.30 WHIP. That's exactly what a team wants out of a relief pitcher.

The Reds have been pretty active this year in the pitching market, and they add to that with Brent Suter. The Reds won't be done making moves, they came close to the playoffs in 2023. With that, they will likely sign some more players. The Reds are a young and exciting team, and it's going to be fun to watch them in 2024.
