The San Diego Padres announced yesterday, that they've DFA'd 43 year old Nelson Cruz. The Last off-season, the Padres signed Nelson Cruz to a one year, $1 million contract. It certainly didn't work out how they wanted it to.

No one expects a player this old, like Nelson Cruz, 43 years old, to produce a lot. Although Cruz was doing okay at his age. In 49 games played for Cruz, he's batting .245, 5 HR's, 23 RBI's, and a .682 OPS.

It'll be intresting to see how long Nelson Cruz will be without a team for, he could certainly fit right in for a contending baseball team. Team's like the Angles, Phillies, Yankees, Astros, and Mets could all be in on Nelson Cruz. There's definitely going to be a team who will take a chance on Nelson Cruz.
