Tigers Inching Closer to Playoff Spot

The Detroit Tigers are getting closer and closer to a playoff spot. They continue to win when they need to the most. As of right now, their magic number to clinch a playoff spot is down to just one. The last time the Tigers made the playoffs was 2014.

If the Tigers do finally make the playoffs it will be for the second or third Wild Card in the American League. The Cleveland Guardians have already won the American League Central, but it would be a huge accomplishment for the Tigers just to get to the playoffs.

This is the Tigers best season in a very long time. Even though they traded one of their top pitchers in Jack Flaherty at the trade deadline, they are still fighting for a playoff spot. They are 85-74.

Just a month and a half ago the Tigers had a .2% chance to make the playoffs. That has obviously changed drastically. The earliest the Tigers can clinch a playoff spot is today. All they need to do is get a win over the White Sox. They’re sitting in a great spot.

The Tigers have a bunch of players who are hard workers and want to win badly. That’s a great recipe for success. The Tigers are super close to making the playoffs and it would be a great thing for all baseball fans to see.
