The New York Yankees are currently in last place of the AL East as they opened up their new series against the AL East leading Orioles. The Yankees have been needing a huge spark as of late. Well, last night, the got just that last night.

The captain and reigning AL MVP, Aaron Judge, returned to the Yankees lineup for the first time since June 3rd. He went 0-1 with 3 BB in the Yankees 1-0 loss last night.

With Aaron Judge back, it could not have came at a better time. Mentioned before, the Yankees are currently in the middle of a three-game set against the Orioles. They will then be back in the Bronx when they welcome the Tampa Bay Rays and the Houston Astros.

It's been a wild ride for the New York Yankees this season. Judge missed more than 50% of the season thus far and the other big bats in the lineup did not step up during those games. With Judge back in the lineup, it will be extremely interesting to see how the Yankees will attack the 2023 trade deadline that ends in less than a week.
